Too often, the DLC just isn’t worth the cost of admission. The worst part is that they usually slap a $10-$15 price tag on it when it’s closer to $1-$2 worth of content. The first is that it is often used to sell us junk, either unlockable costumes, unlockable challenge maps or maybe a new game mode if you are lucky. There are two huge complaints from gamers when it comes to DLC. I’ll speak of the content a bit later on, but first I’d like to talk a bit about just how perfect of a DLC pack Captain Scarlett is. The first DLC pack for Borderlands 2 ( Captain Scarlett and her Pirate’s booty) was released a few weeks ago. Master Gee the Invincible - Obtainable after Defeating Hyperious when you turn that mission in.Borderlands 2 was a game that was released this year that I enjoyed it wasn’t a perfect game, and was largely derivitave of the original, but it was fun enough for me to sink several dozen hours into and complete the main story along with a majority of the side quests. Don't be confused, it's still a side mission. Same waypoints and objectives, same boss, different title. This mission is EXACTLY the same mission as the final "X Marks the Spot" mission. Treasure of the Sands - Given by the Oasis Bounty board after the story is over. Hyperious the Invincible - Obtainable after the main story DLC is completed from Shade in Oasis.
X Marks the Spot - Final Mission and Achievement popper. Message in a Bottle 5 - in Magnys Lighthouse easily grabbed during the mission Freedom of Speech Let There Be Light - Last Story Mission from Scarlett before the last mission "X Marks the Spot" which pops the achievement "Treasure Hunter".įaster Than the Speed of Love - Bounty Board in Wurmwater at end of Chapter 4.įreedom of Speech - Given By Robot in WashBurn Refinery as his third mission. Go towards the exclamation point.ĭon't Copy That Floppy - Side Mission - Given by same Robot in Washburn Canyon.Ĭatch a ride and Also Tetanus - Bounty Board in Wurmwater near Scarlett Side Mission - Grabbed from a robot in Washburn Canyon when you first pass through. Whoops - Story Mission, obtained From Herbert Message in a Bottle 4 - Easily grabbed on the Mission "Crazy About You". The Hermit - Story Mission From Scarlett in WormWaterĬrazy About You - Story Mission given by Herbert in The Rustyards
Just Desserts or Desert Deserters - Bounty Board in Wurmwater Grendel - Bounty Board in Oasis after You meet Captain Scarlett (around Chapter 3) Easily grabbed on the mission "Ye Scurvy Dogs" Message in a Bottle 3 - in Wurmwater when you first enter. Ye Scurvy Dogs - Bounty Board in WurmWater Smells Like Victory - Bounty Board in WurmWaterĭeclaration Against Independents - Bounty Board in WurmWater Message in a Bottle 2 - Found in Hayters Folly, you'll see it on the map when you first enter, just push through the main mission called: "Two Easy Pieces", you'll be able to access it after that. Giving Jack a Leg Up - Given by Shade in Oasis My Life for a Sandskiff - Main Story Quest Follow the Exclamation point when you first arrive. Message in a Bottle - First Bottle Found on Bench in Oasis on the far side of the map.
I'll upload full shots of the maps as soon as I can get some high rez photos.Ĭomplete all Pirate's Booty side missionsĪ Warm Welcome - Given Automatically when you arrive in Oasis Most are connected to side missions or objectives, some are discoverable. Explore everywhere until the white line on each area map is connected all the way around. There are lots of little sections in this DLC which don't pop unless you are directly on them, like pirates camps and hidden shanty towns.
As always with Borderlands, if there is a spot on your map that isn't fully loaded in and appears to be blank, try and visit it.
This will come as you progress through the side missions below. There are 8 total Story Chapters in the DLC, this should unlock shortly after you head back to Wurmwater and defeat the boss guarding the treasure.ĭiscover all named locations in Oasis and the surrounding Pirate's Booty zones. I noticed there wasn't really a full list of Side missions to complete the Achievement on this DLC which requires you to do so, so figured I'd throw up a quick Side Mission guide for people to use in case they are missing one. Hey All! Pretty simple DLC, a "guide" isn't really needed.
